Take a glance at the new line form L.A.-based design & manufacturing brand Cotton Citizen, and you may think this will be your new go-to for staples that are perfect for layering. The collection is not overly produced, reflects tried and true hues, no patterns, and looks like the type of clothes you’d be more than happy to wear day in, day out. But don’t let first impressions fool you –  it’s the understated details that take these pieces from being first layer, to being the tees, terries, and sweats that are ready for center stage.

Cotton Citizen is all about craftsmanship and timeless design. The foundation is obvious when you take a closer look and feel. All of the product is not only designed in Los Angeles, but also manufactured in a privately owned factory in DTLA. Working with premium fabrics and materials, what may appear to be simple tees and loungewear are actually hand-dyed in unique colors and with distinct wash treatments. they will easily become favorites you won’t find anywhere else.
