The reason so many guys are still into it might be directly related to all the beautiful ladies who’ve become huge Vine stars. You know they’re talented and funny. You know many of them have acting chops, singing chops and dancing chops. However, did you know these interesting facts about your favorite female Viners?
Lele Pons – 9m Followers
Lele Pons is credited as the creator of “Do It For The Vine.” There are tons of Vine compilations dedicated to this popular catchphrase. This Venezuelan vixen, who moved with her family to Miami when she was five years old, has reaped the social media rewards and now has the fifth highest following on Vine.
Liane V – 4.3m Followers
Liane V is an up-and-coming recording artist and placed third in the Miss Philippines Beauty Contest, in addition to being a Vine star. She started gaining prominence with her music covers of other artists, but is now recording originals with Grammy Award-winning production team Bruce Waynne and Dirty Swift.
Arielle Vandenberg – 1.6m Followers
Arielle Vandenberg made small appearances in a bunch of popular TV shows well before she hit it big on Vine, including: “CSI:Miami,” “Bones,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Numb3rs,” “Greek,” and “Meet the Browns.” She also popped up in the Arctic Monkeys music video, “R U Mine?” Oh, and she also dated Will Arnett for awhile after he and Amy Poehler broke up.
Brittany Furlan – 9.5m Followers
Brittany Furlan has the most followers of any woman on Vine and commands between $7k – $20k per video from advertisers. She is also working on a female-driven sketch show with “Robot Chicken,” creator Seth Green on board to executive produce.
Sunny Mabrey – 1m Followers
Sunny Mabrey has been around Hollywood for a while now, appearing in the video for Limp Bizkit’s “Nookie” and movies “The New Guy,” “XXX: State of the Union,” and “Species III.” In 2005, she married actor Ethan Embry (“Can’t Hardly Wait,” “Brotherhood,” “Grace and Frankie”). They divorced seven years later, then started dating again in 2013 and are now engaged again. He has been appearing more and more in her Vines.
AlliCattt – 3.9m Followers
AlliCatt initially created her Vine account to just follow her celebrity crush, Tyler the Creator. Now, she has over 1m more followers than he does. Don’t feel too creepy about lusting after Alexandria from Ohio. She looks young but she’s 21 years old.
Jessi Smiles – 3.6 m Followers
This is by no means a “fun fact” about Jessi Smiles, but it’s certainly very interesting. Jessi started dating Vine star Curtis Lepore (8.7m followers), and after they broke up, she got a concussion and Lepore came over to visit her. She claims he raped her while she slept. Both of them were very public about the charge and subsequent legal case. Lepore took a plea deal of felony assault instead, and it never went to trial.
Amymarie Gaertner – 4m Followers
Amymarie Gaertner is the most popular dancer on Vine, even though she’s completely self-taught. She doesn’t even bother choreographing her stuff and just freestyles. People love it! It doesn’t hurt that she’s sexy as hell, too. Don’t worry, she’s over 18 years old, too.
Jenna Marbles – 2.1m Followers
Obviously, Jenna Marbles is known as one of the biggest stars on YouTube with over 15m followers, but she also has a substantial Vine following. One thing you didn’t know about Marbles, though, is she was on track to becoming a sports psychologist before becoming an Internet celebrity. She has her master’s degree in sports psychology from Boston University.
Amanda Cerny – 3.6m Followers
Before Amanda Cerny became famous six seconds at a time, she was Playboy’s Playmate of the month for October 2011. If you’re halfway decent at Google, you can find some great videos of her dressed as a bunny and stripping naked, but since you’re lazy, here’s this very NSFW video of Amanda. (click at your own risk)
