MUTEMATH’s first independently released record Vitals, marked a change in the New Orleans electropop band’s sound and vision. In true DIY-style they made their fourth album on their own, without a label or producer to influence their direction.
The well-received 2015 album was such a good experience that they’re back it again with a remix album entitled, Changes. The 13-song collection features re-imagined versions of Vitals tracks by MUTEMATH band members and up-and-coming producers like Yacht Club and the band’s own drummer Darren King.

“In the context of this being part of a remix album, we took some chances,” says MUTEMATH’s singer and primary songwriter Paul Meany in a press release. “We weren’t necessarily playing by the MUTEMATH rules of what a record should sound like.”
Crave is exclusively premiering a new version of the song “Vitals” featuring the vocal stylings of songstress Flint Eastwood (aka Jax Anderson).
Meany had this to say about the new version, “Jax (Anderson) is one of the freshest voices I’ve heard in a long time. I adore Flint Eastwood and couldn’t have been more stoked to have her grace one of our tracks. She killed it.”
