Tatiana Maslany Will Present At Canada’s Walk Of Fame

Tatiana Maslany, lead actress in the hit show Orphan Black and a former inductee of Canada’s Walk of Fame, will be presenting new Walk of Fame recipients at the Allstream Centre in Toronto on Thursday (the event will be televised on December 18th on Global).

Actor Kiefer Sutherland, who was also inducted in past years, will also be presenting, along with retired astronaut Roberta Bondar, retired hockey player Lanny McDonald, former tennis star and broadcaster Chris Evert, and actress Sharon Gless (Cagney and Lacey).

Brett Kissel of country music fame will be given the Allan Slaight award, and this year’s inductees include:

Jeanne Beker, Fashion Entrepreneur, Television Personality, Journalist

Darryl Sittler, Hockey Player, NHL

Corey Hart, Musician

Deepa Mehta, Filmmaker

Jason Priestley, Actor, Director

Al Waxman, Actor, Director (Cineplex Legends Inductee)

“Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival provides a platform to showcase the wealth of incredible talent we have in Canada, from rising stars to award-winning artists firmly established in their careers,” said Melanie Hurley, CEO of Canada’s Walk of Fame, in a press release. “Whether it’s watching a free performance by a favourite musician, discovering a new band, hearing a reading by a popular author, or enjoying a special screening of a favourite childhood cartoon, the Festival offers something for everyone.”
