Millie Bobby Brown Is Confirmed For ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2

Better set another place at the table at Mike’s home. Eleven is coming back for the second season of Stranger Things!

TVLine broke the story that Millie Bobby Brown has signed on for the new season of Stranger Things, but given the popularity of her character, Eleven…and the fact that she’s been promoting the show alongside her cast mates, it shouldn’t be that surprising. The ending of the first season did leave Eleven’s fate in an ambigious state, as she was seemingly drawn back into the parallel realm known as the Upside Down. But Sheriff Jim Hopper was last seen leaving some Eggos out for Eleven, which suggested that she had already found her way back.

Virtually the entire cast of the first season will be back, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, and Charlie Heaton. Supporting players Joe Kerry and Noah Schnapp were also promoted to the main cast, which means that their characters, Steve and Will also have bigger roles this season.

There have also been two new additions to the main cast: Sadie Sink will play a rebellious young girl named Max, while Dacre Montgomery (from the upcoming Power Rangers reboot) is playing her older brother, Billy, a character who has been described as “violent and unpredictable.”

Not much is currently known about the second season’s story, except that it will take place in 1984. Stranger Things‘ nine episode season 2 will drop some time in 2017 on Netflix.
