Celine Dion recently announced via social media that she will be joining Season 12 of The Voice as an advisor to Gwen Stephani.
“To get the prize right here, everybody’s going to be so mad, the other coaches, that I got you,” said Stefani while the two interacted recently on the Today show (The Canadian Press). “Even though I’ve been in the business for so long, I’m still learning,” said Dion.
Dion is one of the best-selling artists in Canadian music history, with more than 200 million album sales worldwide. She has released a total of 11 studio albums, including her most recent, 2013’s Loved Me Back to Life. She then entered the public eye when her husband and manager, Rene Angelil got sick with cancer and died. Two days after her husband died, her brother also succumbed to cancer.
She has stars on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as Canada’s Walk of Fame. She is embarking on a new tour, Celine Dion Live 2017, with 16 shows on the bill, beginning in Denmark and wrapping up in England.
