SXSW 2017 | Bailey Noble Takes Aim in ‘The Archer’ (Exclusive Clip)

There is a long history of movies about people hunting people for one reason or another, ranging from The Most Dangerous Game to The Fugitive and beyond. The latest film in this genre is The Archer, a feminist thriller that debuts this weekend at SXSW 2017, starring Bailey Noble (True Blood) as an archery champion on the run from the corrupt head of an abusive juvenile detention center, played by Bill Sage (We Are What We Are).

We called The Archer one of the most exciting movies making its debut at SXSW, and now we’ve got a treat for you: an exclusive clip of Bill Sage and Bailey Noble, featuring what could be a lesson from a master to his student, but one with condescending and sexist undertones. He’s not a dangerous monster… yet… but he needs his new inmate to know that if she ever succeeds in life it will be because of him.

The Archer, directed by Valerie Weiss, premieres on March 11 at SXSW 2017. We’ll be back right afterwards with our official review.
