Best Foot Forward | Clarks Originals x C. F. Stead

Clarks has always been known for creating incredibly well-made and resilient footwear. The brand, on the footwear scene since 1825 (over 200 years ago), brought into the marketplace the easily recognizable Clarks Desert Boot, and other styles that so clearly can be identified as Clarks. While many have imitated, few have succeeded in copying this namesake.

Continually evolving, Clarks is not only about the reliability, the form, the fit, but also the look. In embracing unexpected style, the organization recently partnered with another historically important fashion maker: Charles F. Stead & Co., the British leather and suede company with a founded date back in the 1890’s.

The collaboration takes the form of a four-piece capsule collection. The silhouettes Clarks is known for, but the fabrication is all C.F. Stead. Known as the Kudu Pack, these four pairs of shoes could all find a place in your closet, but we assume it will just be one that makes the final cut.

Every pair is made with Purple Grape Nubuck, giving these soles a stand-out quality. Pair with them understated accessories like Stance socks that were meant to be seen, and a rugged watch with a low-key nod to our favorite eggplant color. As for the Clarks, whether it’s the low top, low profile Weaver, or the work-ready (chat-worthy) Desert Boot, a pair of these collector items should belong to you.
