You don’t have to live in Australia to know that it’s filled with terrifying creatures; you just have to follow Mandatory because we mention it all the time. You now know all about the Australian predator bird that hunts by spreading fires, and you also know about funnel-web spider season and all the hell that brings. But guess what? Recently floodwaters hit near the town of Halifax, Queensland, and with that brought a lot of havoc for people and animals (and even spiders) — especially to a giant spider that decided to hold on for dear life.
The spider, which is believed to be a whistling spider is seen in a video shared by Andrea Gofton on Facebook, trying to hold on. Take a look at the video below:
Another version was also shared on Twitter:

That woman must be a huge spider lover, because lord knows I wouldn’t put my hand near that thing that seemed it popped out of the Jumanji board game. And it seems people on Twitter feel the same way I do.
OH HELL NO

If that doesn’t keep people out of flood water nothing will.

But don’t worry, weird spider lovers. The spider was rescued and taken to dry land, where he will continue to plan the day he takes over the human race with his other spider pals.
