Miley Cyrus doesn’t crave attention one bit. That’s why at this year’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination Costume Institute Gala” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (a.k.a. the Met Gala, which we should have just said in the first place), she kept it sophisticated. Her dress was in no way revealing or drew any anyone away from the HB:FCICIG.
OK, we assume you caught onto the sarcasm. Here’s the dress Miley wore to the festivities:
According to Vogue, the Costume Institute meant for their event to “create a dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art in the museum’s holdings.” Of course, the only dialogue we’ve been hearing about is who wore what and did they pull it off? It is a fashion event, after all. There’s no shame in showing off your sense of style. Plus, it captured our attention enough to consult Vogue to see what it was all about, so mission accomplished.
Here’s a few more shots of Miley wowing her audience at the event.
Since we already mentioned Vogue anyways and it was weird, we’d be remise if we didn’t at least point out they got the video of the night, as kindly pointed out by JoBlo.com:
Wow. We already can’t wait for next year. This must be how people who saw Avengers: Infinity War feel all the time.
