Just like the numerous Batman movies, every Thor movie is slightly different in terms of tone and pacing. The difference, though, is that Batman has been portrayed by Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and others. This definitely adds to the differences between films.
Thor, at least in the contemporary film landscape, has only been played by Chris Hemsworth. Including the first movie, simply called Thor, which came out back in 2011, the titular God of Thunder now has four original films. This is after the recent release of Thor: Love and Thunder.
This brings us to one specific question: Which one is the best of the bunch? Also, which one is undeniably the worst? We never like to subscribe to recency bias, but it’s quite clear after one viewing of the newest film in the franchise that it’s going to be difficult to beat. But we’ll do our best. 4. 'Thor: The Dark World'
Always listed as one of the worst Marvel films overall, Thor: The Dark World is easily the worst of the bunch. Released in 2013, the second Thor-centric movie revolves around Dark Elves trying to destroy the Nine Realms. This includes Earth and it sounds exciting, but it just wasn’t.

3. 'Thor'
While not a bad movie, the first Thor film was created to set the stage for future films. It’s all about Thor waiting to inherit the throne of Asgard. He gets mad and overreacts when Frost Giants enter the palace, and he gets banished to Earth, thus setting the stage for future movies.

2. 'Thor: Love and Thunder'
This is where things get tough. Thor: Love and Thunder is a badass, wild, sometimes hilarious ride. It revolves around Thor attempting to find inner peace before Gorr the God Butcher shows up to destroy everything. He teams up with King Valkyrie as well as his ex-girlfriend on a ridiculous adventure.

1. 'Thor: Ragnarok'
The third, and arguably best film in the franchise is centered on Thor as he’s imprisoned and forced to fight as a gladiator. By far the funniest film in the franchise, Thor has a great rock man sidekick and also must stop a jerk named Hela from destroying Asgard.
