Brett Favre’s Parkinson’s Diagnosis Won’t Soften Jenn Sterger’s Criticism

Jenn Sterger recently shared her thoughts on Brett Favre’s Parkinson’s diagnosis in an Instagram story. On Tuesday, the retired NFL quarterback testified at a congressional hearing on welfare misspending and reform in Mississippi. Soon after, Sterger, who accused Favre of sending her inappropriate texts in 2008, seemingly showed no sympathy for the football icon’s health crisis.

Jenn Sterger took to her Instagram story to share her reaction to Brett Favre’s Parkinson’s diagnosis. She wrote, “Please don’t send me links to it. I’ve seen it. I can read. I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but I know Karma never forgets an address.”

Sterger then alluded to the Mississippi welfare scandal and wrote, “Imagine being diagnosed with such a terrible disease & not having the resources to fight it bc some Hall of Fame quarterback stole it?” She added, “Those are the people that need your attention, support, and sympathy.” Before ending the statement, Sterger wrote, “Mississippi you deserve better.”

This is not the first time Jenn Sterger has taken a dig at Favre amid the welfare scandal. Two years ago, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Oh.. NOWWWWW he gets in trouble for inappropriate texts.” According to the New York Post, the NFL investigated Sterger’s claims about Favre sending her inappropriate texts in 2010. However, they couldn’t conclude that the football star violated the league’s workplace conduct policy. Eventually, Favre was fined $50,000 for not cooperating with the NFL’s investigation.

Brett Favre is one of the defendants in the Mississippi welfare case, but he has not been criminally charged. During his recent testimony, he told the committee that he lost his investment in a biotech company that had been “developing a breakthrough concussion drug” that he thought “would help others,” as per AP News. Favre further added, “As I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me — I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s — this is also a cause dear to my heart.”
