While on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Amy Adams recalled a cherishing memory of her singing with Taylor Swift at an after-party. She disclosed that she turned into a Swiftie after watching the Grammy winner perform in her Eras Tour concert. Soon after, the show’s host, Jimmy Fallon, asked whether Adams had met Swift before. In response, the actor said, “I have, actually, years ago.” She continued, “It was at a party after an awards show, and I know better than to go to the second party, but I chose to go to the second party, and Taylor Swift was there.”

Adams further shared her excitement upon meeting the artist, revealing, “There was karaoke, and I sang karaoke with Taylor Swift.” When Fallon asked her which song they sang together, she replied, “We sang, ‘What’s Going On.'” She then talked about how she believed she sang the song a bit louder. The actor humorously said, “I’m sure everybody was like, ‘Amy, shut up. Like, we want to hear Taylor sing.'” Adams said she should not have sung and let the singer take it away. However, Fallon quickly quipped, “No, [Taylor Swift] probably loved it,” making the actor feel like she did the “right thing” by singing with Swift.

During the interview, Amy Adams also talked about how it would be a “different” experience now for her to sing with Taylor Swift as she has become a huge fan of hers, or as she called herself — “a shifty 50 Swiftie.”
