The hit CBC show “Mr. D” has begun production on Season 3, with primary filming being done in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Lead by comedian Gerry Dee, who won the Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Comedic Role and helped to create the program, the comedy also stars Jonathan Torrens (“Call Me Fitz”), Lauren Hammersley, Booth Savage (“Rabbit Fall”), Bette MacDonald (“Rideau Hall”), and Darrin Rose. The show follows the mostly competent “Mr. D” as he teaches at Xavier Academy and endures a myriad of hilarious challenges from year to year.
