One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson was left vomiting on the sidelines over the weekend following a strong tackle by Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who is now likely nervously peering through his curtains and anxiously awaiting the arrival of a mob of crazed 13-year-old girls.
The footage of the tackle, which happened during a charity match Louis was taking part in at Celtic Park, swiftly went viral, prompting a Twitter civil war of sorts between those who are young enough to believe it’s appropriate to invest their time and effort into loving a boyband member whom they’ll likely never meet, and those who are old enough to know better than to engage in social media spats with teenagers.
Martin O’Neill, the former Aston Villa and Celtic boss who was Louis’ coach for the day, said of the incident: “Agbonlahor smashed into him and he picked himself up and then was ill in the dressing-room area, but he’s not too bad now I think.
“He had to rush off, but I think he’s fine. He doesn’t know where he is, but he’s fine. He was genuinely ill, but he’s OK now.”
