Earlier this fall, “Castle” star Nathan Fillion reportedly pushed for a four day work week by taking an unplanned sick day to disrupt the production of his ABC series. Who knew that Fillion just wanted some time to go back to school?
Deadline broke the story about Fillion’s< upcoming guest stint on NBC’s “Community.” Fillion is a very vocal fan of “Community” and he tweeted a picture from his “Community” set visit last year.
Although he is best known for playing the title character on “Castle” and Captain Malcolm Reynolds on “Firefly,” Fillion will portray the “politically savvy” head custodian of Greendale, Bob Waite, who crosses paths with Annie (Alison Brie) and Professor Hickey (Jonathan Banks) as they explore “Greendale’s corridors of power.”
NBC has yet to set a premiere date for “Community” Season 5, but it will likely debut at midseason early in 2014.
