For a decade, the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco has been building momentum as one of the coolest small-scale weekend music-fests on the summer calendar.
This year, the festival, held on the tiny man-made island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, boasts two of its biggest headliners ever — Beck and Tom York-Flea super-collaboration Atoms for Peace.
Atoms is coming of their blowout performance at Austin City Limits earlier this month, a set that had CraveOnline’s Johnny Firecloud raving.
But even removing the top of the bill stars, Treasure Island has a strong lineup in place for the Oct. 19-20 weekend, including Animal Collective, Japandroids, Major Lazer and more.
