Stephen Colbert Takes On The New Muslim Ms. Marvel

The news that the new Ms. Marvel is going to be a Muslim girl of Pakistani descent living in Jersey City did not sit well with television host and aspiring Clark Kent impersonator Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report. A staunch supporter of willfully ignorant xenophobia, Colbert took Marvel Comics to task for having “lost another battle in the culture war,” and insinuating that a shapeshifting Muslim is the most insidious threat to the glorious, grammar-free Americana that is comic books.

If so, that reviewer is one whose work you can trust if you're curious about a particular title. If not, cue loud, angry internet vitriol.
