LA Auto Show 2013: Preview Days Look to 22 Debuts

The LA Auto Show is a strange player in the annual car selling hustle.

It’s not nearly as big the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and not quite as well-intended as the New York Auto Show. While it’s the last major automotive trade show of the calendar year, it’s the first big, U.S.-based show of the model year. That means automakers might use it to highlight the 2014 models currently in showrooms before they stop serving as news. Or, those same companies can try beat the competition in Detroit and New York by debuting models a little early.

This year, there will be 22 models making their world debut in downtown LA, including the Nissan Nismo Juke RS, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 and the S63 and the Porsche Macan,

We managed to get down to the convention center a day early during the media only preview phase and snagged a stack of behind the scenes photographs of the show’s setup.

Keep checking CraveOnline this week for coverage from the LA Auto Show as the new models arrive.
