CES 2014: Native Union POWER Link Keys Battery Life

Native Union brought along their POWER Link to CES 2014 this week. This key ring is a thing of beauty; a rectangular strip of black or tan cow-hide leather encasing a cable split in two, one end for a Smartphone, the other connecting to a USB power outlet. It’s available with a lightening or micro-USB version.

POWER Link’s design cleverly conceals the cables in a high-end, but practical key ring with a hidden magnetic closure. The key ring comes in two styles: a hanging leather tassel or a sporty black and white nylon cord tied in a monkey knot. If I can only have one accessory, this is it.

Hong Kong-based Native Union excels at avoiding the classic plastic, rubber and resin coatings and the uber-techie look that usually goes with them. It’s nowhere more apparent than with their CLIC Metal iPhone 5/5s case. The case mixes brushed metal with a choice of cherry or walnut wood, making for a perfect juxtaposition of nature and future.
