The campaign for the 2014 Emmy Awards is already well underway. And while “True Detective,” “Breaking Bad,” “Mad Men” and “Game of Thrones” have gotten a lot of attention, Netflix’s “House of Cards” remains a strong contender to once again be among the top dramas on television.
You may have forgotten about Frank Underwood, but Frank Underwood hasn’t forgotten about you. “House of Cards” occasionally breaks the fourth wall and lets Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood address the audience as we watch him ruthlessly rise to power in the federal government.
Netflix has passed along an extended video from “House of Cards” Season 2 that features Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) clandestinely meeting with Frank about a threat to his ambitions before Frank’s wife, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) tells him what she’s taken away from him to help him become Vice President. Jacqueline Sharp (Molly Parker) is also introduced as Frank’s potential replacement as House Majority Whip.
Be warned, this clip also has a very NSFW sex scene and some nudity involving Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara). It’s nothing that you wouldn’t see in an R-rated film, but I don’t recommend watching this clip anywhere that would be frowned upon.
“House of Cards” Seasons 1 and 2 are available now on DVD. A third season has already been announced.
