NBA 2K15’s new face scan technology means you can get a personal one-on-one fist bump from Pharrell Williams.
Included for some positive reinforcement, the “Happy” singer offers 2K NBA fans all the fist bumps, scripted encouragement and soundtrack inspiration they need to clock the latest version of basketball’s No.1 selling video game franchise.
2K has turned the game’s soundtrack curator into a 3D character players can meet for some courtside congratulation in ‘career mode’.
In a 2K15 teaser posted on Pharrell’s Instagram account (below), the rapper/singer/producer and his his oversized cowboy-inspired hat can be seen exchanging pleasantries with a ‘MyCAREER mode’ character, an authentic attempt to recreate that necessary point in every young NBA player’s development where Pharrell officially signs off on a rookie’s transition from scrub into international superstar.
“#YourTimeHasCome to meet me in #NBA2K15. New face scan technology will make it possible for us to meet face-to-face in one scene. Coming soon,” Pharrell posted.
The video has already amassed a whopping 71,000 likes via the social media platform.
