Tropical rum, Country Music and football tailgating might seem like an unusual mix, but Blue Chair Bay (the distillery owned by singing star Kenny Chesney) kicked off the relationship with a series pigskin friendly cocktail recipes.
We figured you might want to shake up a few while you check out the tailgating coverage coming your way this weekend and throughout the coming week. The Fall Snap below is a perfect option to serve up during your own tailgate party. Whether you throw on a Chesney CD is entirely up to you.

Rum ‘N Pumpkin Ale
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum
- Pint of pumpkin ale
Preparation: Mix and serve.
Fall Snap
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum
- 8 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 18 oz. pear nectar
- 15 oz. ginger ale
Preparation: Mix in a pumpkin (optional) with some block ice and stir it up. Garnish with several sliced pears and cranberries. Serves 18-20.
Indian Summer
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. Blue Chair Bay White Rum
- 3/4 oz. apple cider
- 1/4 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp. agave nectar
Preparation: Put it all in a shaker with some ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass, add an apple slice, and savor the last days of summer.
