The first in-game photo of CM Punk in WWE 2K15 has been leaked, showing how developer 2K handled the image of the former WWE Superstar despite him having controversially left the company earlier this year.
Though CM Punk famously walked out on his contract with the company (or, as Triple H would say, “took his ball and went home”) he is set to be a big part of WWE 2K15‘s 2K Showcase mode, which will focus upon two famous rivalries in WWE history: Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels and John Cena vs. CM Punk.
The leaked image, which you can see below, is a little grainy though does appear to indicate that 2K did a good job of recreating Punk’s likeness despite him obviously not being available for motion-capture sessions.
WWE 2K15 is the first game in the pro wrestling series that has 2K has worked on from beginning to end, after the company took over WWE 2K14 from the bankrupt THQ. Alongside its 2K Showcase mode it will also feature a MyPlayer career similar to that of the NBA 2K series, which will see the player’s created wrestler rise through the ranks in the company and make their way from the WWE Performance Center, to NXT, to RAW and finally to WrestleMania.
