The updated World of Warcraft character models went live yesterday with the release of Patch 6.0.2. Frankly, they’re fantastic, and have made taking screenshots and earning gear so much better. It’s not just the character models that have reinvigorated the visual experience of World of Warcraft, though. There are new animations, including movement and facial expressions. The game has a different look and feel as a result, while still retaining its colorful personality.
One of the first things I did upon going back to the game to enjoy the new content in 6.0.2 was look at each of my characters’ new looks. Using an option in the settings that allows myself and others to seamlessly disable or enable the new models, I took a few screenshots of before and after the update. The results are quite dramatic.
