Barcelona have released a video hyping up Luis Suarez’s debut for the club, as they prepare for El Clasico against Real Madrid this Saturday (October 25th).
Suarez has been forced to sit on the sidelines for months now after he was punished with a lengthy ban following the infamous biting incident that took place during the World Cup 2014, but now the player is set to take to the pitch against Barca’s La Liga rivals Madrid, joining the likes of Messi and Neymar for the first time.
It is unclear whether or not Suarez will appear in the team’s starting line-up or if he will make an appearance in the second half, as Barcelona have reportedly been training with a team that excludes Suarez ahead of the game.
Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane spoke of Real Madrid’s decision to not attempt to sign Suarez, saying that the club “didn’t feel they needed him”. Zidane added that the players the club acquired in the summer transfer window were the players that the club wanted, despite the Uruguayan being linked with the La Liga giants on multiple occasions.
