Backed by some star power and quite the successful A&E reality show, the first Wahlburgers is about to open in Toronto – it is the second restaurant in the chain to open its doors.
Headed by Chef Paul Wahlberg and backed by star brothers Mark Wahlberg, director and actor, and former New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg, the restaurant chain has already received major hype via the show “Wahlburgers,” which profiled the family as they got their new business off of the ground. The show just wrapped up its second season last month.
Mark has been the executive producer of three HBO series: “Entourage,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “How to Make It in America” and has appeared in hit flicks like “Pain & Gain” and “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” Meanwhile his brother Donnie has been one of the main actors on the hit series “Blue Bloods” starring Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan since 2010, and since 2014 is an executive producer of the TNT reality television show “Boston’s Finest.” Finally, their brother Paul, the classically trained chef, is the head of the Wahlburgers operation… and he is definitely new to being in the spotlight.
Wahlburgers opens in Toronto on November 15th at SoHo Metropolitan Hotel on Blue Jays Way.
