On Tuesday, March 17, Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing the first season of “Turn: Washington’s Spies” on Blu-ray and DVD.
The series debuted on AMC last year and it was inspired by Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring by Alexander Rose. “Turn” stars Jamie Bell as Abe Woodhull, one of the unlikely leaders of the Culper Ring, the network of spies and informants that helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War against the British.
In this exclusive video from the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release, Rose explains why he decided to write about the Culper Ring and why the story hadn’t been widely known until his book was released. “Turn” executive producers Barry Josephson and Craig Silverstein also weigh in on what led them to the project.
Turn: Washington’s Spies: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray and DVD will included all ten episodes from season 1, in addition to deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
AMC renewed “Turn: Washington’s Spies” for a second season and it will return to the network in 2015.
