Chemical Brothers Enlist Beck, St. Vincent, Q-Tip For New Album

Ready for the big house beat return? EDM superheroes the Chemical Brothers have announced their first album in five years with Born in the Echoes, due out July 17th. The star-studded collection features guest appearances by Beck, St. Vincent and Cat Le Bon, with returning appearances from Q-Tip and Ali Love. To ramp up enthusiasm, the duo have shared a visualizer video for album opener ”Sometimes I Feel So Deserted.”

ChemBros fans will celebrate the return of Q-Tip, who previously guested on the Chemical Brothers’ 2005 single “Galvanize”. His collaborative track “Go” will see a video release directed by Michel Gondry, while Beck will feature on album closer ”Wide Open” and St. Vincent is heard on “Under Neon Lights.” 

Born in the Echoes is available for pre-order now at iTunes; fans who purchase the album now receive an immediate download of “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted.”

The Chemical Brothers have been relatively quiet since 2010’s Further, offering up a film score (2011’s Hanna), a live CD/DVD (2012’s Don’t Think) and the single “This Is Not a Game” for the Lorde-curated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 soundtrack.
