As Jon Stewart bids adieu to The Daily Show tonight, The Comedy Network confirmed that it will honour the incomparable host by premiering the much-talked about special The Daily Show With Jon Stewart: News Your Own Adventure on Thursday, August 6th at 10pm, leading into Stewart’s final episode at 11pm.
The one-hour special features fan-voted favourite Daily Show clips from 20 categories, and is hosted by Daily Show correspondents and members of “The Best F&#ing News Team Ever!”, Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj, and Jessica Williams.
The Daily Show has been hosted by Stewart since 1999, however it began three years earlier with Craig Kilborn as host. Its spin-offs include The Colbert Report as well as The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
Paving the way for a new age of The Daily Show is politically charged comedian Trevor Noah, who will helm the Emmy-winning series beginning Monday, September 28th at 11pm.
