You may know her as The Vicar of Dibley, one half of French and Saunders, the Fat Lady from Harry Potter or that chick from the Terry’s Chocolate Orange ads that always come out around Easter time. She’s all-around funny person Dawn French, and she’s kicking off the new year with a trip Down Under.
Amazing!
The British Queen of Comedy has written a new show called 30 Million Minutes, and it’s not just about the length of time it takes to get from London to Australia by plane, amirite?
Having toured the show extensively across the UK to widespread critical acclaim, French will be bringing the laughs to Aus this January, February and March, with 8 dates scheduled across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
And like the funny lady herself, 30 Million Minutes reportedly packs a wallop.
“Her extraordinary lack of willpower, combined with an enviable knack for nosey parking and showing off, has driven her to grapple with the big stuff of life in public,” a press release proclaims. “30 million minutes of life in fact. That’s how long she’s been alive.”
