The artistic collaboration between Burton & Neighborhood Technical Apparel never had a chance to disappoint. After all, Burton is the name in snowboard gear that keeps us pining for new decks, boots, soft goods and clothing year and year again. And Neighborhood is the brand that you may have never heard of – but once you see it, it’ll be on your ‘lust list’ from now until you can get your hands on it, which is hard to do. You are suddenly in luck because the Burton & Neighborhood collaboration is here.
Neighborhood is a Tokyo-based design house run by Mr Shinsuke Takizawa. Founded in 1994, Neighborhood creates pieces that are synonymous with the uber stylish Japanese streetwear scene. The roadblock for you can be: it’s hard to get outside of Tokyo. Until now.

The Burton x Neighborhood collaboration features a comprehensive line complete with everything you need for the slopes, including a throw back snowboard with the original design basics of the one you would’ve found in 1981, plus technical outerwear including jackets and pants. For fireside, you can pick up slick cardigans that look downright worldly, 80s inspired tees and accessories emblazoned with a signature patch. The only trouble you’ll have after receiving your swag is whether to wear it to the bar, or save it for the archives – these goods are collector items.
