Christopher Walken has gone and done it. The 72-year-old actor has successfully transitioned from man, to meme.
One of the most iconic actors of modern times – largely due to his unique mannerisms and way of speaking but also just, you know, being a general badass -Walken is also probably one of the most-memed celebrities on the internet today.
Observe:
Genius.
And he knows it.
The veteran actor has just appeared in an ad for Qantas where he essentially shatters the divide between real life and Web 2.0 by merging with his own pop cultural simulacrum and becoming a living human dank meme.
See Christopher… Walk’n, Christopher… Run’n,Christopher… Climb’n and Christopher motherflippin’ Jazzercisin’ in the brilliant advert, which even comes packing an eerie Shia LaBeouf-style ending.
Which is probably no coincidence. LaBeouf is probably the only celebrity more advanced than Walken at achieving meta-celebrity status at a ninja level.
THE ADS… THEY’RE GETTING SMARTER.
