When a veteran in the performance shoe category launches his own brand, there is good reason to pay attention. David Raysse, formerly of Adidas, Fila and Sketchers, did exactly that in 2012 when he went out on his own and created BrandBlack. With a stealth logo, and understated branding, BrandBlack’s sneakers range from a large variety to wear on the court, to streetwear versions, to low-top, breathable footwear.

More recently BrandBlack even expanded into offering men a cohesive look, moving from basketball shoes to the athleisure staples you work out and/or live your life in. (For those who don’t know, the athleisure movement is all about super comfortable yet stylish gym clothes that bridge the work-out and streetwear scene.) With lots of high profile, loyal supporters, the fans of this new shoe line know what’s up – and they welcome you to join the club.
