Radiohead have posted a number of new art pieces on Instagram and Facebook without explanation. The band recently offered their new album A Moon Shaped Pool to an assortment of visual artists, for interpretive creation. These pieces could be part of that series, however there is no credit attributed to any artist, increasing speculation.
The style looks similar to the work of Stanley Donwood, Radiohead’s longtime visual collaborator. He designed the official artwork for A Moon Shaped Pool, as well as the album covers for the band’s Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to The Thief and others.
As with all things Radiohead, every movement seems to be an opaquely interpretive anti-marketing campaign in itself, and fan speculation is running rampant, whether predicting new single art or even the possibility of another new album on the immediate horizon. See the images below.
