The iHeartRadio MMVAs rocked Toronto last night, and Drake came out on top with five awards including Video of the Year and Best Hip Hop Video. Nick Jonas, who won his first MMVA for International Artist of the Year, dedicated his trophy to the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting from last week. Performers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis along with Alessia Cara were first-time winners as well.
Justin Bieber took home the prize for Fan Fave Artist or Group, while Fifth Harmony won for Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group (and performed for the first time at the MMVAs). Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello reunited on stage to accept the awards for Best Pop Video and Fan Fave Video for their duet, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Toronto duo Majid Jordan also took home two awards, winning Best Post-Production and Best MuchFact Video for their Drake collaboration, “My Love.”
The evening was hosted by international supermodel Gigi Hadid, who also presented an award during the live broadcast.
