Hide the women, children, and cosplayers, Slayer is riding into San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC). The four horseman of thrash metal will be “Raining Blood on diehard fans with a sold-out show today at the House of Blues. Check their music label Nuclear Blast’s social media accounts all day for ticket giveaways.
“Comic-Con? I can’t believe they’re gonna lets us shred the HOB San Diego,” said Slayer’s ax-wielder Kerry King in a press release. “It will definitely be a night of fury and intensity that the city won’t forget. We will be coming off a seven-week European run, so Slayer’s guns will be blazing.”
King along with his bandmates (Tom Araya, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph), make bloody disgusting music that fits right into the graphic novel world so it’s no surprise that will be there to promote their own upcoming Dark Horse comic, Slayer: Repentless, Vol. 1. The first in a three-part title that takes its plot from the revenge-themed videos they’ve made for “Repentess” and “You Against You.”
“Postmortem”… If you miss out on the show you can meet Slayer at the Nuclear Blast booth #501 on Friday, July 22 at 1pm or later that day at the Dark Horse Comics booth #2615 at 3pm. There are a limited number of wristbands for these exclusive signings so line-up early to have any chance.
