MTV came out of the sky like a lightning bolt. Not only did the network change the face of television, but music, culture, politics, film and more. On August 1, 1981, a rocket blasted into the sky and a new way of life was born. Songs were now little movies we consumed with delight, and the music industry had a fresh indomitable mouthpiece.
