Mortal Kombat was, is, and will continue to be a landmark game in the history of video games. When it first came out, it was the go-to game at any and all coin-op arcades throughout the land, and it’s popularity inspired me to convince my mom to make a Kung Lao costume for me in junior high. I still think I should’ve won the school’s costume contest.
The game also introduced the world to iconic characters whose names can carry potential marketability into other industries. And as you’ll soon see, Scorpion, the undead, fire-breathing ninja hell-bent on revenge, is productively using his brand to expand beyond the video game universe.
In a video posted on the Rooster Teeth Facebook page, someone cleverly imagined what it would be like if Scorpion ran his own martial arts/fitness gym. The results are so something Scorpion would do.

As you can see in the video (which, LOL, looks like it was recorded on a VHS tape), the fitness center is complete with self-defense classes, an after-school program, and even classes centering on yoga. All of these are great things to motivate you to get your ass off the couch…if you don’t mind being burned alive or having your spine ripped out of your body. Other than those mundane details, it’s great. And when you’re done, you can go to Sub-Zero’s for an after-workout treat. Win-win.
