Jean Grey was Phoenix, twice! And Jean Grey died, twice. That’s not a great track record, and that’s why Jean Grey is trying to avoid the path laid out by her future self!
This teen Jean Grey was thrust into the present day alongside her fellow original members of the X-Men to save their future, but they’re stuck here for good. Somehow, they’ve been replaced in the past and they have nowhere to go but forward. This would be considered good news for Jean, but she’s about to get a very unwelcome wake up call. The Phoenix force is still out there, and it’s coming for her. And if she wants to change her future, she’s gonna have to be able to defeat it herself.
In CraveOnline’s first look at Jean Grey # 1, the title heroine reflects on her counterpart’s past as she enjoys a brief moment of relaxation and contemplation. It won’t last for long…because the Wrecking Crew are in town!
