Some people have what it takes to speak on national television, and others don’t. You can most certainly file the following video under the latter, because last night during Monday Night Football’s match between the Broncos and Chargers, Sergio Dipp spoke. That might not sound so damning, but we assure you that it is.
Sergio Dipp Makes First (And Last?) NFL Sideline Reporting Debut

Allow us to recap: “It’s a pleasure to be with you guys, here on the field, from up close, just watching Coach Vance Joseph from here. You watch him now on the screen.”
Now, before you start ripping into him, know that he released an official statement regarding his debut early this morning on Twitter, saying thanks for the opportunity while…sort of rambling the exact same way he did on television. Which begs the question, “Is that just how he talks?”
Thank you…

Regardless, Twitter was ruthless as usual.
The man’s name is Sergio Dipp. And he’s the only sideline reporter I ever want to hear from in any sport ever again.

Replace the bottom score ticker with just a timer of when Sergio Dipp is returning to air. I’m not even kidding. https://t.co/MgohEDTCVp

Ken Bone needs to give his red sweater to Sergio Dipp. We have a new king.

Personally, I don’t see what the big deal is. He performed pretty well for someone under such pressure. Plus, any time an actual sideline reporter reminds me of Kyle Mooney, I just sit back and enjoy it:
