Marvel movies by their IMDB ranking

Ranked! Marvel Movies In Order of Their IMDB Ranking

Black Panther (2018) 7.5

The world reacted to Black Panther like it was Avatar, bringing something new to the table. And it did, which is surprising that it sits in the middle of the pack according to IMDB.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) – 7.5

This is where the people behind the Marvel cinematic universe started realizing people are fatiguing. So they decided to just sprinkle regular genres with superhero action. That’s how we got a high school movie with sticky white discharge and hot aunts.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) 7.7

The 2h 16 minutes commercial for baby Groot toys have been generally well received, although absolutely nobody rated the movie higher than the first part. Some good jokes in this one, the plot thickens, and so does the sexual tension between characters.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) – 7.8

A hit out of nowhere! People were obviously underwhelmed by the first Captain Steroid movie, but the second one was a genre-bending political thriller with insane action. And the intrigue had a genuine feel to it, not cartoonish. That’s what you get when you cast Robert Redford.

Captain America: Civil War (2016) – 7.8

Great comeback by the Captain Performance Enhancing Drugs. What a moment in sports. Although the movie just carries his name, it could be named Avengers minus the Hulk. The airport scene might just be the ultimate take of all of these movies.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017) – 7.9

This time, Marvel decided to sprinkle Superheroes on a comedy made by a New Zealand’s top weirdo Taika Waititi. A crazy, fast-paced ride from start to finish, it shows what superhero and blockbuster movies should be – fun.

Iron Man (2008) – 7.9

The one that started it all. We can hear the AC/DC track just by looking at the poster. And yes, we don’t think Iron Maiden. All of the 20 Marvel movies released and the at least 50 incoming are standing on the back of Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Stark, and Jon Favreau’s directing.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) – 8.1

One of the just three Marvel movies that broke through the 8.0 mark. Guardians were the talk of summer 2014, they were relatively unknown, and after just two hours became nerds’ favorite bunch. Well, second favorite.

The Avengers (2012) – 8.1

If Civil War had the best and most recognizable take of the franchise, The Avengers had the most-iconic shot: The circle group shot. You know the one.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018) – 8.7

Well, you did it, fans. You equalized a bunch of fairy tales male models battling it out with Forrest Gump (1994) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975). How do you sleep at night?

To be frank, what was announced as the most-ambitious crossover project in the world exceeded people’s expectations. Marvel movies closed another chapter, and it is interesting to see where the franchise will go, how many movies will there be. 100? Infinity?
