Truth be told, we think social media challenges are corny at best and cringe-worthy at worst. Even so, we can’t look away. And the latest trending hashtag #challengeaccepted has produced some really stunning Instagram posts by the most beautiful celebrities on the planet.
While it’s unclear what exactly the challenge they’re accepting is – theories floating around the interwebs attribute it to everything from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s viral speech on sexism last week to a Turkish domestic violence protest – a recurring theme is female empowerment and #womensupportingwomen. No matter how it started, we are here for it and hope it continues to inspire women to share their loveliness – and their strength – with us.
