Buckle your seat belts, Brad Pitt fans. This could be a wild ride. The new trailer for action flick Bullet Train just dropped, and it looks like a whiplash-inducing, heart-pounding adventure. Take a look:
The film, which is based on the Japanese book Maria Beetle by Kōtarō Isaka, follows a motley crew of assassins who are on the same speeding bullet train. As their missions collide, the fighting escalates.
Pitt stars alongside Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Andrew Koji and Bad Bunny.
When the trailer opens, Bullock’s character is trying to convince Pitt’s character that he should get back into the assassin business.
“I think you might be forgetting what you do for a living,” she tells him.
“Every job I do, somebody dies. I’m not that guy anymore,” he insists.
“Some conflicts require a gun,” she replies.
They also require a lot of stunts, which the 58-year-old Oscar winner was more than willing to do. Stunt coordinator Greg Rementer told Vulture that Pitt did “did 95 percent of his physical stunts — the fighting.”
“He’s like a natural-born athlete. He really got in there!” Rementer said. “Never have I ever done so many huge actors in one feature where all of them excelled at the physical movement of our training. So Brad, Brian, Michael Shannon, Hiroyuki Sonada, Andrew Koji — who was already a stud in terms of where he comes from with the show Warrior — all these actors put out some great action and did a lot of their [own] stuff.”
The flick is directed by David Leitch, the man behind Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2, so you know you’re in for some adrenaline-pumping entertainment. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until July 15, when Bullet Train speeds into theaters, to see it.
