Mike Myers is one of the best comedic character actors of all time. Even before he took the movie world by storm, he was making our sides split playing characters on Saturday Night Live like the hyperactive and hypoglycemic Phillip the Hyper Hypo, Coffee Talk host Linda Richman, Sprockets host Dieter, and Simon, a young boy who hosted a TV show in a bathtub for some reason.
He’s gone on to have an epic movie career but is returning to TV (in streaming form) with his new show The Pentaverate on Netflix. In honor of the new television series in which Myers plays multiple, over-the-top characters, we thought it was only right to list and rank some of our favorite Mike Myers movie roles. 8. The Cat in the Hat
This movie wasn’t made for us. It was over-the-top silly and the plot made no sense. But in all of the mess, Myers played the titular role with whimsy and excitement.

7. Fat Bastard
Fat Bastard is just that: a fat bastard. The sweaty, fat, kilt-wearing Scotsman first appeared as a villain in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and quickly became a quotable fan favorite.

6. Donnie Shulzhoffer
Mike Myers is a huge hockey fan so it wasn’t very surprising when he showed up in a cameo in the hockey movie Mystery, Alaska. His role as a hockey play-by-play man was fairly brief, but very memorable.

5. Dr. Evil
Dr. Evil is the bald, odd-looking, super villain who is battled by British secret agent Austin Powers in the film series. He’s well-known for his quotable dialogue, especially when referencing sharks with lasers on their heads.

4. Austin Powers
Austin Power was once the most quotable, funny character ever. We couldn’t get enough of the British spy in the late '90s and early 2000s. Then the gimmick began to wear a little thin. Still a great character though.

3. Shrek
Carrying on his tradition of using an over-the-top Scottish accent for his characters, Shrek from the movie series of the same name might be his most famous and quotable character, especially among children and adults with arrested development.

2. Stuart Mackenzie
Based off a similar role Myers portrayed on Saturday Night Live, Stuart Mackenzie is the Scottish, brash, rude father of Myers’ character Charlie Mackenzie in So I Married an Axe Murderer. He was by far the best character in the movie.

Mike Myers’ best role might be his most subdued. His role of Garth Algar’s public access television sidekick in the Wayne’s World movies is one we never get tired of.
