After an iconic wedding two years ago, Joe Biden‘s granddaughter Naomi and her husband, Peter George Heermann Neal, have some good news to share. Naomi Biden, the daughter of the president’s son Hunter Biden and his former wife Kathleen Buhle, is expecting her first child.
In a memorable ceremony, she married Peter Neal, a Pennsylvania Law graduate, on the South Lawn of the White House in November 2022. The couple first announced their engagement in September 2021 and then tied the knot in the first-ever wedding ceremony of a president’s grandchild at the venue.
Pregnant with her first child, Joe Biden’s granddaughter made an emotional pregnancy reveal on her Instagram Stories. On Election Day, Naomi posted a mirror selfie of her growing baby bump with a vote sticker on her huge belly. Furthermore, the caption read, “(we) voted,” referring to herself and the unborn child. She combined this text with the American flag and an upside-down smiling emoji. In the photo, the 30-year-old sported an all-black comfortable outfit and appeared to be smiling with her face partially cropped.
President Joe Biden previously talked about the close bond he shares with his seven grandchildren, and his eldest granddaughter attested to his claims. Moreover, Naomi Biden told PBS News Hour in a 2020 interview that her grandfather makes “sure that every single tradition, every holiday, we’re all together.” She further spoke of their close-knit family, claiming there hasn’t been a thing “that we haven’t decided as a family.”
