Variety’s Actors On Actors 2024 Lineup Revealed

Variety has recently revealed the lineup for the 21st season of their Actors on Actors segment, expected to hit storeshelves on December 11, 2024, with conversations airing daily on their website and social media sites starting December 9. For the unversed, Actors on Actors sees two actors discuss their respective filmographies and career highlights.

Curious about who are featured in Variety’s Actors on Actors 2024? Here is the lineup.

Actors on Actors 2024 lineup released by Variety

The following actors will be a part of Variety’s Actors on Actors for 2024:

  • Andrew Garfield and Ryan Reynolds
  • Ariana Grande and Paul Mescal
  • Selena Gomez and Saoirse Ronan
  • Angelina Jolie and Cynthia Erivo
  • Zendaya and Nicole Kidman
  • Drew Starkey and Harris Dickinson
  • Kate Winslet and Zoë Saldaña
  • Daniel Craig and Josh O’ Connor
  • Pamela Anderson and Mikey Madison
  • Colman Domingo and Kieran Culkin
  • Demi Moore and Amy Adams
  • Adrien Brody and Tilda Swinton

Out of all these pairings. Paul Mescal and Ariana Grande are perhaps the most interesting as they evoke the Glicked phenomenon, much like how Cillian Murphy and Margot Robbie did for Barbenheimer last year. Andrew Garfield and Ryan Reynolds is another fascinating one, considering how they humorously shared a kiss at the Golden Globes 2017.

Several netizens online have commented about the absence of Sebastian Stan in the lineup, considering the recent release of his Donald Trump biopic, The Apprentice. Stan himself confirmed in a Q&A session following The Apprentice’s screening that he had an offer from Variety to join their 2024 Actors on Actors lineup. However, he could not book an appearance as he was unable to find another actor to discuss the film with him, since other actors were “too afraid” to talk about it.

Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh later corroborated Stan’s story to IndieWire. “We invited him to participate in ‘Actors on Actors,’ the biggest franchise of awards season, but other actors didn’t want to pair with him because they didn’t want to talk about Donald Trump,” Setoodeh said.
