A brand-new footage of Ballerina featuring Ana De Armas shows the actor coming face-to-face with Keanu Reeves. Ballerina, or From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which will come to theaters on June 6, 2025, is among the most anticipated movies in recent times. With Ana De Armas as the lead, the action film’s cast has great additions in the form of Reeves, who is returning as John Wick, along with Lance Reddick, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and more.
New Ballerina spin-off footage shows Ana de Armas’ brutal stunts
Lionsgate Films made a surprise drop as they released new footage of Ana De Armas’ Ballerina at the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP), which was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Showcasing Armas taking on the role of the trained assassin, Eve Macarro, the footage offers a peek into Armas’ journey of becoming Macarro.
The clip is over 3 minutes long and shows Armas’ character interacting with Reeves’ Wick as she asks him how she can do things the way he does. This frame follows Armas getting into some intense action with Wick saying, “Looks like you already have.” Commenting on the difficult action sequences, Armas said in the footage, “I’m actually surprised that I came out of it in one piece.”
Additionally, the footage displays more scenes of Eve showcasing her fighting skills. In the clip, the director of Ballerina, Len Wiseman describes the movie as, “This is not a female John Wick. This is a story about Eve coming into it from the beginning.” Furthermore, Ian McShane, who plays the role of Winston, says, “John Wick is Baba Yaga. And Ana, she’s the Baby Yaga.”
Ballerina, produced by Chad Stahelski, falls between the 2019 movie John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and the 2023 movie John Wick: Chapter 4. The announcement of Ballerina was made in April 2022 with Ana De Armas replacing Unity Phelan, who was shown in John Wick: Chapter 3 as Eve Macarro.
