UK roar-metal phenoms The Dead Lay Waiting are set to release their highly-anticipated upcoming full-length Almost Heaven on January 24, 2012, and to help ramp up excitement CraveOnline’s bringing you an exclusive stateside debut of one of the album’s best tracks!

Check out our review of Almost Heaven, while you listen to a U.S. exclusive debut of The Dead Lay Waiting’s “This Day Will Be Your Last”:

Almost Heaven was released in June 2011 in the UK, featuring 14 tracks and 60 minutes of blistering, full-throttle death metal/metalcore music. Impressively, the members of TDLW were all between the ages of 17-19 when they recorded Almost Heaven, and are currently between the ages of 19-21. Already hailed as one of the biggest metal newcomers in the UK, the band is ready to kick ass and take names in the United States.

In late 2007, the band recorded their first EP, Memories Of A Massacre, followed by a self-titled EP in early 2008. Following an appearance at the Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August 2008, TDLW signed to UK based label Rising Records, releasing their debut album, We Rise, in January 2010. The album consisted of twelve songs of fast-paced, hyper-melodic music. The release also saw the bands first music video for the track, ‘Obsession Of An Anxiety’. During 2009 and 2010, the band spent much of their time on the road touring both in the UK and Europe, as well as performing at music festivals such as the much-acclaimed Download Festival in 2010 and again in 2011.

Earlier this year, despite their youth, TDLW were proudly nominated for KERRANG! Magazine’s ‘Best British Newcomer Band’ award, and the Metal Hammer Golden God ‘Best Underground Band’ award. The awards coincided with the UK release of Almost Heaven.

With a fan base growing, the band is ready to take on anything anywhere and perform their bone-crushing live performance across the world.
