R.I.P. The Ultimate Warrior: The Rock, Hulk Hogan Mourn WWE Legend

WWE Hall of Fame inductee The Ultimate Warrior has passed away at age 54. 

The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, though the Ultimate Warrior, real name James Brian Hellwig, was said to have collapsed “outside an Arizona hotel at 5:50 PM on April 8th while walking to his car with his wife”, officials said. Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The news of the Warrior’s death comes just days after his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, and an appearance on Raw on April 7th where he thanked fans for their support of him. Watch that video below.

WWE Superstars past and present took the time to pay their respects to the Ultimate Warrior via Twitter. The Rock tweeted: “Loss always has a way of reminding us to live and love as greatly as we can. My prayers and strength to his family. RIP Ultimate Warrior”, while Triple H broke the news to WWE fans by tweeting: “Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters.” The Ultimate Warrior’s longtime rival Hulk Hogan tweeted: “We talked,both forgave each other,we hugged ,we shook hands as we told each other I love you,I am so sad,God bless his beautiful family HH”.

Warrior is survived by his wife, Dana, and two daughters.
